Thomas Sabol joined Englekirk in 1981 and has been responsible for the structural design and project administration for large-scale building structures. Key projects include The Getty Center and the United States Courthouse, San Diego. An area of particular interest is in the restoration and seismic rehabilitation of historic buildings and wind studies of structures.

Dr. Sabol is an Adjunct Professor of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at UCLA where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in earthquake engineering, structural steel, and tall building design.
