The fMRI Center at the University of San Diego is a 11,175 square foot facility that houses a 3.0T and 4.0T human MRI scanner, a 4.7T primate MRI scanner and a 7.0T small animal scanner, all with associated control and computer support spaces. The facility also includes administrative offices, a conference space, computer labs, post-doc offices, an electronics lab and a machine shop. In support of the animal services, there are animal staging and prep rooms. A hydraulic elevator
connects the animal support areas with a small lower level partial basement. The basement connects to the existing basic science building where the animals are brought from the holding areas.
