Located in the heart of the Fisherman’s Wharf area, this 5-story hotel was designed to emulate the surrounding brick buildings. The structure is a two-way post-tensioned flatplate with concrete upturned ductile moment frames. The basement is ten feet below the water table, requiring a 16 inch thick mat slab foundation. The design also included 3-story post tensioned hanger columns which are supported by transfer girders on the roof.
