The mixed-use nature of this concrete structure mandated an architecturally flexible yet cost effective structural solution. Single bay concrete ductile moment frames were selected for the lateral system because of its inherent ability to meld the structural system with the architectural layout. The floor slab was designed as a post-tensioned concrete flat plate system which allowed the contractor to utilize economical flying forms to construct the structure.
Museum Parc is a luxury high-rise condominium. The project includes a two-story underground garage, ground floor retail/ restaurant leasable space and a rooftop fitness center and garden.
The building is an architecturally complex structure which required a somewhat simple and elegant structural solution in order to meet the tight construction schedule and budget. Our firm worked closely with the architect and contractor to develop a solution which married the structure to the architecture at a reasonable construction cost.
