A beautiful hotel located in Newport Beach, the Four Seasons received a Special Recognition Award from the Precast Concrete Institute. Standing 18 stories high, this concrete structure is one of the tallest in Orange County. Built for the Irvine Company, the hotel totals 350,000 square feet, and includes a subterranean level for the back house functions.
Concrete ductile frames were selected rather than shear walls because of their inherent adapt-ability to the architectural demands of hotels. |
