Our structural challenge was the attachment of the new cast-in-place concrete structure connecting to the existing concrete structure. The vertical load carrying system consists of concrete one and two way concrete slabs supported by concrete beams and columns. The lateral load resisting system consists of cast-in-place concrete shear walls supported by continuous wall footings.
