Our firm prepared a seismic review of the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena indicating that significant damage and probable collapse may be anticipated in the event of a major earthquake at this site. Recommended seismic rehabilitation work was presented to strengthen this structure in compliance with the City of Los Angeles Building Code intent, to reduce life safety
hazards and minimize the structural damage in the event of a major earthquake.
