American Savings Plaza is a regional headquarters facility covering one square city block in downtown Stockton, California. The project is composed of an eight-story office building over two-levels of subterranean parking. The office building is a steel frame structure with concrete over metal deck floor supported by composite steel beams. The lateral load resisting system is composed of ductile moment steel frames where each floor level is approximately 27,000 square feet. The exterior building facade is made up with horizontal granite spandrels which are supported at perimeter steel columns with window mullions spanning between spandrels. Each level of the subterranean parking structure is approximately 100,000 square feet and is composed of a two way post-tensioned concrete slab supported by concrete columns at interior and concrete retaining walls at exterior.
