The Catalina Landing development featured 4 four-story concrete buildings, totaling 290,000 square feet, and a 1500 car garage. Linking all of the buildings and the garage is a 110,000 square foot elevated courtyard. The structures are supported on battered piles which were required due to the seismic liquefaction and settlement potential for the site. The unique feature of this project is that all of the beams, columns, and exterior spandrels were precasted on site and were closely coordinated structurally to facilitate construction.
