The Hope Street Parking Structure is a new 6-level, 191,000 S.F gross area structure
providing parking for 556 cars. The structure has precast concrete columns, precast prestressed concrete beams and girders, and poured-in-place post-tensioned slab. The lateral system is very unique: the special moment resisting concrete frame consists of precast columns and poured-in-place concrete girders interconnected with the Dywidag Ductile Connector ® seismic resisting system. The concrete frame beams contain no mild rebar because the reinforcing is comprised of high-strength Dywidag rods threaded directly
into the ductile rods in the precast columns.
