Kauai Village Shopping Center
Waipouli, Kauai, Hawaii
110,000 square feet retail
10,000 square feet market place and museum

This new shopping center is a wood structure that consists of approximately 110,000 square feet of shopping area, which includes two major anchor, tenants, Safeway Supermarket and Pay 'N Save variety store as well as a 10,000 square foot market place and museum.In October 1992, Hurricane Iniki hit the Island of Kauai. The structure sustained minor structural damage (a 20’ x 20’ portion of the flat roof was sucked off the framing members) but Safeway was able to open the next day.
