The Shops at Mauna Lani is a 89,000 square foot retail center spread over 5 separate buildings. The architectural design of the center highlights the Hawaiian heritage with its lush landscaping and water features. Restaurants, luxury retailers, and boutique stores make up the composition of the center. The structural design includes roof framing of pre-fab wood trusses and wood I-joists supported on a mixture of glulam and steel beams. The floor framing is commercial wood I-joists supported on a mixture of glulams, engineered wood and steel beams. The vertical framing is a mixture of wood stud walls, cmu walls and steel columns with a foundation of concrete spread footings.
