This historic renovation, which covers an entire city block in the heart of Pasadena, involved the preservation of the facades of existing buildings dating back to the late 1800's. All but the facades were demolished, and new construction built in its place. The extremely fragile nature of the facades dictated several unique shoring schemes which were used in the renovation. Since its completion, this project serves as a focal point in the revitalization of Old Town Pasadena.
