The 3555 Hayden Tennis Broadcasting facility is a one-story wood building added on top of an existing three-story building. The existing three-story building consists of exterior CMU bearing shear wall with steel girders.

Our structural design verified the integrity of the existing building to support the new structure both for gravity and seismic loads to realize the architectural design intent which featured exposed interior wood roof and rafters. The existing floors were wood diaphragm over wood joist that span between the main steel girders. An addition to the roof top consists of a new sculptural curved roof constructed of curved wood beams.
