Working closely with the theatrical performers, extensive theater improvements were made to restore this historic theater back to its original intent of live theater performances.
Improvements included converting the current opera boxes into mini stages, relocating the speaker system into the grid area allowing for use of the entire stage, installation of a
$1 million pipe organ and
related organ lift and alterations and additions to the stage lighting system. The stage floor was analyzed for increased live loading from the trap door openings and framing provided for fire safety curtain between the stage and auditorium.
