The structural solution for the MCA/Universal Studios Transportation System required a system for the movement of people from the parking lot, atop a steep hill, to the main studios. A system was devised and designed to traverse this 200 foot vertical drop. The final design included a series of three escalators and four bridges with a total length of 500 feet. A combination of clever engineering and planning was utilized to achieve this unusual project.
