The Annenberg School for Communication is a result of the merging of two undergraduate departments on the University of Southern California campus. The East Wing is a Quincy Jones-designed building, built in 1974, and erected as a small graduate school. The West Wing, also designed by Jones, was added 10 years later. The task at hand was to integrate the existing inefficient circulation pattern between the two buildings into one central circulation zone to promote a space to gather and assemble.

Our firm performed a seismic review of the existing structure to identify key deficiencies. Based upon our review, a written report summarizing the key deficiencies was prepared. Included in our report were conceptual recommendations to mitigate the deficiencies identified.
