Edward A. Silver Rejoins Englekirk bringing 35+ years of experience in the AEC community. Following Edward’s early career with Englekirk and building his firm, Silver & Associates for 26 years, Englekirk welcomes the breadth of experience he brings to our firm.
Mr. Silver has a broad background managing and designing major structures for a wide range of projects across the nation and internationally which include the completion of 15 million square feet of corporate distribution center along with the development of industrial prototypes for corporate clients Target, JCPenney, Best Buy and ARCO.
Of particular interest is his expertise with extensive value engineering and adaptation of structural designs to varying codes, local ordinances, weather, economically available materials, construction standards, and other geographical conditions.
Edward received his Bachelor Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and is a licensed Structural Engineer in California as well as 23 additional states plus the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and
Surveying (NCEES).
Augmenting his professional career, Mr. Silver taught graduate concrete, steel and earthquake design courses at California State University, Northridge as an Adjunct Professor in their College of Engineering and Computer Science.
