Construction at Viewpoint School is underway once again with Phase III of their expansion plans! Teamed with Jeffery M. Kalban & Associates, we completed the school’s Cornerstone project in 2005, the library building in 2009, and the high school classroom and gymnasium building in 2012 and have embarked on two new classroom buildings, a food service area, and a library building. Joists, wall studs, and a light gage shear wall make up the light gage steel frame system. The buildings are supported on a series of cast-in-place piles connected with a pattern of grade beams. The continuous gable roof is gradually taking form as the light gage trusses are erected on top of the structural framing. The exposed structural steel truss has been erected in the library space and supports the roof joists. The architectural exposed structural steel frames over the walkway are on site and ready for erection. As the Viewpoint School grows, we are excited to be a part of the continued expansion.
