Santa Monica, CA | 3 stories | 29,000 sq ft

As a leader in science education, the Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica boasts an addition to their campus with a 29,000-square-foot Science Education & Research Facility providing a primary science facility for the Upper and Middle School students. The 3-story structure houses 12 labs to enhance the process and student experience of learning physics, chemistry, life science and engineering to become leaders in science and technology.

Our structural goal was to develop a structural solution that realized the architectural intent of a structure with exposed concrete and mechanical systems and glass façades and achieve an environment that promotes Crossroad’s interdisciplinary and cutting-edge curricula.
