Los Angeles, CA | 1 story | Showroom: 22,000 sq ft / Parts Department Tenant Improvement: 5,500

As part of an $80 million redevelopment of a series of dealerships to re-establish Figueroa as an auto row in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, our structural design for the renovation and expansion of the Mercedes-Benz showroom in downtown Los Angeles grew the existing 17,000-square-foot space to 22,000 square feet. The showroom expansion included structural steel gravity and lateral framing while the existing Type V, 1930s showroom building was seismically strengthened with steel moment frames. As part of the process, we evaluated the 40-foot-span original wood trusses to support the new mechanical roof top units. Additionally, tenant improvements were made to the 5,500-square-foot Parts Department of the dealership.
