Active in the Historic South-Central community of Los Angeles, The Hollywood Community Housing Corporation is behind the Florence Mills Apartments that is a 74-unit, 127,600-square-foot affordable housing complex providing Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) units for veterans and affordable housing for low and very-low income residents. Named in honor of the dancer and singer Florence Mills, who captivated audiences during the Jazz Age, the 4 stories of housing in the development are augmented with 5,000 square feet of commercial space along with two courtyards over one level of subterranean parking for 85 cars. The exterior features a mural illustrating the historic jazz culture that invigorated the local community and honors the area’s rich history.
