ICON is the 14-story office building component of the three-building expansion of the Sunset Bronson Entertainment Complex. Located in the heart of the Hollywood and West Hollywood-Burbank media corridor, the 323,000-square-foot creative office will house tech, media and production companies. We delivered a cost-effective structural system to realize the architectural goals of a one-of-a-kind staggered, tiered structure with floor-to-ceiling glass to enhance views and landscaped outdoor terraces on several levels of the building. Our structural design utilizes a core shear wall as part of the lateral system which allowed for high floor to ceiling volume and an open floor plate. From a leasing perspective, the owner benefits from an obstruction free building perimeter for the tenants.
