Moana Pacific

Honolulu, HI | Tower: two 44 stories, 700 units / Parking: 6 levels, 1,500 spaces | 1,500,000 sq ft

The Moana Pacific condominium complex consists of two 44-story, 400-foot-tall towers containing 700 residential units and a 6-story podium containing parking for 1,500 cars. The total built area is 1,500,000 square feet. Working closely with the Architect, we were able to quickly conceive of a lateral system consisting of shear walls and a floor framing system consisting of a 7″ post-tensioned flat plate that met the owner’s budget and their program requirements without major modification during production of the construction documents. The collaborative effort made it possible for the team to meet a demanding schedule – key to building in an aggressive real estate market.
