Englekirk is providing structural engineering services for the development of the Broadcom campus in Irvine, California. The project includes up to 1.1 million square feet of building space that includes laboratory, open office and campus amenities with over 70 acres of extensive site work. The structural design of the lateral structural framing system for each building consists of steel special moment frames utilizing SSDA slotted beam connections and steel buckling-restrained braced frames utilizing CoreBraces.
