An outdoor temporary concert stage at Americana at Brand required a building permit for its installation. We performed a structural analysis addressing Building Code issues such as Wind Loads and Seismic Loads. Based on our analysis of the vertical truss towers and overhead lighting grids, we made several recommendations for ensuring that the temporary installation was structurally code compliant.
A short time schedule mandated that we quickly research the prefabricated truss components and connections fabricated by Tower Structures and perform the required analysis to arrive at the most economical solution for the stage and lighting rigging.
