West Hollywood, CA | 23 ft tall, 8 ft equilateral triangle base

The Cuervotivity sculpture was sponsored by Cuervo 1800 to benefit AHORA (Artists of Hispanic Origin Respond to AIDS). Mexican artist Jazzamoart (Vasquez) created and painted artwork on plywood and fiberglass panels in his studio. Unique attachment systems allowed the painting of panels and construction of the structure to proceed simultaneously. The sculpture is installed at the Unity Monument Plaza which is dedicated to promoting the global unity of cultures, lifestyles, and races. The Unity Monument sits upon a plaza of more than 800 square feet of tile.
