The Dunbar Hotel

The Dunbar Hotel, a 1920s National Register-listed hotel in the historic Central Avenue Jazz District of Los Angeles, was reinvented from a hotel into 83 units of affordable rental apartments for seniors and families. Our structural design included a seismic retrofit for the adaptive reuse of an existing 5-story brick building with a mezzanine over a partial basement.
