Today marks the grand opening of Camino del Mar & Vista del Mar, the 176 affordable family homes will serve some 750-low-income people in Wilmington. Englekirk is proud of another successful collaboration with Abode Communities and Mercy Housing California.
SEAOC Convention
Englekirk’s Associate Ricardo Roldan, PhD PE co-authored “Upcoming Design Guide for Seismic Risk Mitigation Ordinances of Pre-Northridge Steel Moment-Frame Buildings” and “Building Performance Observations and Resiliency Assessment following the September 19, 2017 Central Mexico Earthquake” which are to be presented at this week’s annual SEAOC Convention in Palm Desert. TCA / Englekirk CANstruction 2018
Last week our Orange County office, alongside TCA Architects, worked through the night to make their “You CAN Catch a Poke-Bowl!” come to life for the 2018 CANstruction competition! It took 2,000 cans to build the structure, all of which will be donated to the OC Food Bank.

Ice Cream Social
Englekirk’s annual Ice Cream Social doubled as a fundraiser for our Ketchum YMCA Stair Climb team last Friday. 8 brave Englekirker’s will climb the US Bank Building to raise money for various YMCA youth programs on September 28th! Good luck team!!!
Sequoia National Park Volunteering
Our engineers spent a weekend earlier this month volunteering at Sequoia National Park where they started at Round Meadow to remove invasive Blue Orchard Grass to further the restoration of the Giant Forest.
