July 15 marked the Grand Opening of The Somerset Group’s WILCO Apartments designed by DFH Architects and built by Fassberg Contracting Corp. We enjoyed working with great team members to realize the 7-story, 152-unit mixed use apartment building.
Construction has started by Layton Construction on The Now on Sunset – a 3-story mixed use office building with a roof terrace over 4 levels of subterranean parking designed by Mithun. The development boasts a 20’ x 60’ billboard display which is integrated into the building façade.
The Superior Court of California, County of Sonoma celebrated the Groundbreaking Ceremony for their New Hall of Justice Courthouse on July 9. Englekirk collaborated with STUDIOPractice on the 15-courtroom, six-story building which is being constructed by Rudolph and Sletten.

Another residential development will soon take hold at 3565-3585 S. Overland in Palms. Reed Architectural Group is designing the 119 apartments with ground floor retail and parking for 126 cars. The Westin Anaheim Resort celebrated the Grand Opening of its luxury and state-of-the-art property in the community of Anaheim. Englekirk’s Senior Project Director Daniel Chan, SE enjoyed the festivities at the 9-story, 613-room development of 101 suites, three restaurants, a pool, roof-top lounge, and 11 meeting rooms. Englekirk’s design team joined #GGA Architects and #Kemp Bros Construction last week at the topping out of the Los Angeles Unified School District McKinley Avenue Elementary School Comprehensive Modernization Classroom Building project. Procured via design build, once completed the campus will include 3 new buildings and the remodel of two existing buildings providing classrooms for varied educational services.
