Guest Lecture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo – Flash Back Friday
Two of our engineers did a guest lecture for the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo structural engineering graduate class last month. Thank you both for volunteering your time to represent our firm.
New Century Plaza – Mat Pour
It took 14 hours and 1,001 ready mix trucks to pour the 9,509 cubic yards of concrete for the first of our two towers at Century Plaza last weekend. Kudos to Largo Concrete, Pacific Steel Group, and Webcor Builders for a job well done!
Immanuel Senior Housing Redevelopment
Our structural design on the Immanuel Place Senior Housing in Long Beach wins the PCBC Gold Nugget Merit Award for best renovated, restored, or adaptive re-use residential. We celebrate with Dreyfuss Construction, Thomas Safran & Associates and KFA.

Robert F Kennedy Community Schools – Throwback Thursday
It’s been 8 years since the doors of Robert F Kennedy Community Schools opened on the historic Ambassador Hotel site. We collaborated with Gonzalez Goodale Architects and Hensel Phelps to realize the 433,839-square-foot, 4,234-seat, K-12 Community Schools development.
Los Angeles Tall Buildings Structural Design Council
Kudos to three of our engineers for presenting the design of our Century Plaza Hotel project at last week’s Los Angeles Tall Buildings Structural Design Council 2018 Conference. Our team described the seismic retrofit of the historic Century Plaza Hotel and performance based design (PBD) of the twin towers. Way to go team!
